Hello!
|
WHAT I WRITE
My mission is to write books that will delight children, get their brains and imaginations sparking, and provide opportunities for educators and parents to have meaningful discussions when the story is over. As the mother of a child with epilepsy, I'm also passionate about seeing his condition positively represented in children's literature.
For picture books, I write in both rhyme and prose and love to use humor and wordplay to make any subject fun and memorable. Whenever possible, I try to include some sort of educational tie-in so that teachers could pull my books off the shelf for an easy lesson.
For older readers, I am working on several series of chapter books and graphic novels with hard-hitting subject matter like mermaids, gnomes, ghosts, and raccoons.
PUBLISHED WORK
